My day this morning and afternoon was quite boring. I just felt 'blah'. As I drove to take a picture for a different assignment, I decided this bottom picture described my feeling. Just simply ordinary. My goal in mind was to take an ugly picture and be done with it. While driving back into 'main town' Rexburg I got so excited as I passed this bright purple truck. The color was eye-catching and after about 30 seconds I had to turn around to capture it. I decided to make this my daily photograph, which works because the neutral backround still fulfills my feeling of dullness.

I like the idea of trying to make a boring photograph. You partially succeeded. I do like the leaf and twigs. It's ordinariness makes it lovely, which is probably not what you were going for, but tough.
